Convergence: the inclination to become more alike as a relationship progresses
We project our expectations onto the people we choose to be with, even if those expectations have nothing to do with who they are.
After an extended amount of time we become similar to those we are closest to. Is this from healthy compromising or forced integration?
My partner and I explore what it means to transform into one another.
Using repetitive movements we investigate the choreography within the compassion, mechanization, exhaustion and endurance of relationships, while modifying and manipulating each other’s bodies to assimilate on a physical level.
